Brace yourself the cold is not going anywhere

Rainy weather is expected to continue across parts of South Africa into the weekend.

This comes after localised flooding was experienced in parts of KwaZulu Natal which led to rock falls that blocked traffic.

Forecaster, Kumsa Masizana says a cut-off low resulting in a band of isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers coming from the northwest moving southeastwards.

Cold temperatures are expected in the extreme western parts from this evening going into the weekend.

Gauteng Emergency Management Services Spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi said they are currently doing a door to door campaign urging residents to keep safe during these cold days.

We are doing a prevention drive in areas like Alexander, Kaya Sands and Kliptown where we are educating residents on how to prevent winter fires.
