Capitec Bank’s brand – though not the most valuable - is South Africa’s "strongest".

This is according to Brand Finance’s South African Top 50 Brands.

It’s rating of Capitec Bank's brand as South Africa’s strongest is based on marketing investment, familiarity, loyalty, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation.

These are the five most valuable brands in South Africa:

  • MTN (R44.2 billion)

  • Vodacom (R27.5 billion)

  • FNB (R19.4 billion)

  • Absa (R18.9 billion)

  • Standard Bank (R18.5 billion)
