Gwede Mantashe: Let's not dilute the mining charter

Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe says the Mining Charter is intended to help disadvantaged South Africans and the meaning and the intention should not be diluted.

Speaking to Bongani Bingwa on the Breakfast Show, Mantashe says the charter is intended to help victims of apartheid to recover and become active citizens.

It is better that the Mining Charter is corrected by the ANC itself instead of waiting for criticism from everybody else...

Mantashe says they are engaging with the Chamber of Mines to regain their trust.
