Gauteng MEC for Roads And Transport Ismael Vadi says the situation in Tsakane in Ekurhuleni is 'very serious'.
Four people were killed on Wednesday during a shootout, while six others were injured, eight people were arrested and nine firearms were recovered from the scene.
Speaking to Bongani Bingwa on the Breakfast Show, Vadi says law enforcement officers have been deployed in and around the Tsakane taxi rank.

Vadi says the dispute seems to be an internal fight in the Greater Brakpan taxi association.
