Heartbreaking farewell for 9-year-old Sadia

Thousands gathered at the funeral of Sadia Sukhraj who was killed in a botched hijacking in Chatsworth Durban. She was shot in the stomach as three attackers fled the hijacking scene with her still in the car on Monday.

Heartwrenching, devastating, tragic, all the words that you can think of that a mother who has just lost her 9-year -old is feeling.

The pain that was on her mother's face, Loraine, was indescribable.

The family wants answers from authorities, she says.

There are conflicting reports as to what happened on Monday.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane attended the service and spoke about the devastating effects on the community. He said he wants to take this to Parliament to ensure this does not happen again.
