Seven suspects have been arrested in the early hours of Tuesday in connection with the cash-in-transit heist in Limpopo on Monday.
The robbers took off with an undisclosed amount of money after blowing up the van.
Limpopo Hawks spokesperson Matimba Maluleke says the suspects who are between 24 and 49 years old where arrested in different parts of Limpopo province.
During the arrest, the police recovered two vehicles, a Toyota Hilux and Ford Kuga which had false registration plates and bullet holes.
Riffle ammunition, cartridge, empty money bags and explosives were found inside these suspected stolen cars.— Matimba Maluleke, Limpopo Hawks spokesperson
The suspects are expected to appear in the Polokwane Magistrate Court tomorrow and more arrests are imminent.— Matimba Maluleke, Limpopo Hawks spokesperson
