This comes after a rural Burundian NGO received a gift of ten donkeys from France.

Burundian authorities are hitting back at France, it has nothing to do with the donkeys. Diplomats say it has nothing to do with the donkeys but the French criticism of the referendum of this month that gives President Pierre Nkurunziza the power to stay in office until 2034.
