The Home Affairs Department has been accused of holding back the state capture investigation.
Parliament’s Home Affairs Committee has complained that Home Affairs and the Education Department in the North West have not responded to its request for documents.
The documents are needed to get the inquiry into the naturalisation of the Gupta family off the ground.
It’s been almost a year since the committee was instructed by Parliament to investigate matters related to state capture, reports EWN's Lindsay Dentlinger.

According to Dentlinger, the Guptas pledged to social responsibility projects at North West schools when they applied for naturalisation.
