'Our national leadership bury their heads in sand'
The Gauteng Department of Health is in crisis.
That's according to Chairperson of the South African Medical Association, Dr Mzukisi Grootboom.
He says the province could be headed for a financial meltdown similar to what happened in the North West province.
Speaking to Bongani Bingwa, Dr Grootboom says systems need to be put in place to resolve the problems in the health sector.

Dr Grootboom condemned the strike action at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg.
Hundreds of workers went on the rampage over unpaid bonuses last week.
