How to deal with conflict in a workplace where everyone has different views

Conflict is inevitable in a diverse workplace.

Recruitment specialist Joanne Barrett says it is important for everyone in an organisation to respect each other.

She encourages co-workers to educate one another about their different cultures in order to build greater cohesion, awareness, and respect.

Barrett adds that it is also vital for employers to be accommodating to various belief systems, for example the need for prayer time.

She says that listening, compromise and correct tone of voice are needed to resolve conflict.
