Convicted murderer Henri van Breda sentenced to life
Convicted murderer Henri van Breda has been sentenced to three life terms. He was found guilty of killing his parents, brother and attempted murder of his sister.
Van Breda received one life sentence for each of the murders, 15 years for the attempted murder of his sister and six months for the obstruction of justice.
All these sentences will run concurrently, says EWN reporter Monique Mortlock.
Van Breda's lawyer said they will be appealing the sentencing and conviction, which will be heard on 27 June.
Judge Desai said that not only did he show no remorse throughout the trial but he also failed to take the court into his confidence and tell them why he killed his family.Monique Mortlock, EWN reporter
