The father accused of killing his son outside the Fred Norman Secondary School on Tuesday, has been released on a warning.
The man says he took his son to an extra evening class and waited for him inside his vehicle where the boy found him asleep and knocked on the car door. He claims this startled him and he opened fire.
He appeared in the Lenasia Magistrate's Court on Thursday on a charge of murder.

I spoke to the police this morning, they have handed the case over to the NPA, the father is expected back in court on the 24th of July. They will continue with investigations.— Masechaba Sefularo, EWN reporter
