[TEAR JERKER] The 947 Breakfast Club, Lottostar and Joburg love baby Hannah

Background

The 947 Breakfast Club helped out a two and half-year-old little girl and her family. Baby Hannah was born with a rare condition where, at birth, only half her face was formed; leaving her without an eye on one side of her face and half a nose. Her situation is a lot more complicated than this and her condition also affected her other internal functions. Her father is a policeman and was supposed to play May Money Madness with us on the station earlier this month.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to take the call as he was attending to a gunshot victim at the time. He then contacted us to inform us about the family’s situation as this is a financial burden on the family. As a public servant, her father does get medical aid, however, it only covers the family for a certain amount or percentage and the family then has to pay the balance.

Hannah is currently receiving treatment by different specialists, but because she is still very young, she has to be treated regularly in stages as she grows.

Once again, Joburg just came through like you cannot believe!

With Lottostar donating a total of R100,000 to the cause the city of Joburg decided that they also wanted to get involved!

As a result, the team raised around R300,000 to make sure that Baby Hannah gets the treatment she needs...

947 loves Baby Hannah!
