According to Nadia Drake from National Geographic...

In South Africa’s Limpopo province, a baobab tree once grew so large and stood so strong that its human neighbours decided to do the obvious: They built a pub inside the living tree’s thousand-year-old hollow trunk, which measured more than 45 metres around and enclosed two interconnected cavities.

As quoted from the Wochit News YouTube channel :

The African baobab tree looks like something that Dr. Seuss conjured. According to Science magazine, researchers found that as the trees get older things get weird. Over its lifetime, a baobab's roots send up several more stems in a ring. These eventually fuse to form a large cavity inside of the tree. The cavity is so large it can fit people or provide refuge for animals seeking relief from the sun. Many of these strange trees have started dying suddenly. Some of these trees are more than 2000 years old. In 2011, the oldest known specimen that sprouted about 2450 years ago—died and toppled over. Now seven more of the 13 oldest trees, and five of the six biggest trees have also died. Researchers suspect climate change has something to do with the trees' deaths.
