Public Protector finally appears before Parliament after previous no-show

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane has appeared before Parliment's Justice Portfolio Committee after she previously failed to attend proceedings on 6 June.

Mkhwebane will be briefing Parliament on a number of issues and also on the agenda is the DA's application for an inquiry into her fitness to hold office.

EWN Parliamentary Correspondent Babalo Ndenze says MP's wanted to know the reasons for Mkhwebane failing to appear in the last meeting but Mathole Motshekga protected her by saying some matters are personal.
