SACE: Drastic action needed to curb violence in schools

A shocking video has emerged showing a violent assault on a teacher by two pupils.

In it one of the can be seen grabbing the teacher by the hair and kicking here.

Neither the learners or teacher has been identified.

The South African Council of Educators (SACE) says something drastic needs to be done to curb the violence in schools.

We are making a call to the school governing bodies to take very stern action.

Our teachers are raising this issue with us and we are saying its about time that very drastic action be taken against learners who are conducting themselves in this fashion.
