Con Roux, the Commercial Manager at the N3 Toll Concession, says the initial blockade took place before seven in the morning.

He says the blockaded is a result of a truck driver protest against the employment of foreign nationals.

A number of truck drivers appeared to have colluded in order to block off the whole of the Van Reenens Pass.
