The game of survivor according to Nico Panagio, is structured in such a way that it strips you of all of the things you use to protect yourself and that ultimately everybody wins.
The host of Survivor SA and Chairman at Missing Children SA joined Azania as this week's Friday Profile, to talk about the show and how he has managed to triumph over some of his personal battles.
Nearly three years ago Panagio and his wife opened up about their struggle with infertility and why they decided to adopt.
He describes how the experience was more of a 'soul journey'.
What an incredible outcome for my wife and I. We got very clear instructions from the man above that our path was different and that we needed to adopt and we resisted that for a while but I would not go back and change it for the world.— Nico Panagio, host of survivor and chairman of Missing Children SA
He shares how he and his wife decided against in-vitro-fertilization (IVF)
I was sitting on a mountain, I spend a lot of time on the mountain, I go up there to chat to God, I was looking out and wondering what to do.— Nico Panagio, host of survivor and chairman of Missing Children SA
After three artificial insemination treatments we were on table mountain when we got a call from a nurse saying I am sorry the third one did not take. I was so angry with God and remember saying to God what do you want from me. Here is a man who will raise Christian children and teach them kindness. I said to him, don't you want my children? As I said that, that still small voice whispered back and said don't you want mine...— Nico Panagio, host of survivor and chairman of Missing Children SA
