Cape Town resident, Gregg Skirton, has raised concerns with regards to the City of Cape Town's Website that it does not protect residents personal information.
The City is being accused of displaying people's information in a way that will make them vulnerable to criminals who pose as City employees to gain access to their property.
Although the Protection of Personal Information Act has not yet being signed into law, Skirton believes that the city has the responsibility to protect information made available to them by residents.
He says his efforts to alert the city to this matter beared no fruits as the website still remains the same.
It's either they don't know what I am talking about or they just don't care.— Gregg Skirton, concerned resident
