[LISTEN] Sibanye-Stillwater responds to unemployed mining graduate's plea

Sibanye-Stillwater has responded to the plea of a University of Venda graduate who has been struggling to find employment for over a year.

On Thursday, listener Maxine called into 702 to share how she discovered Brian Radzuma at a busy intersection in Johannesburg.

Radzuma holds Bachelor of Science (BSc) in mining and environmental geography.

I tried applying everywhere and nothing is coming up. I tried all options.

CEO of Sibanye Stillwater Neal Froneman heard Radzuma's story and says the company may have an opportunity for him.

I think of mining as the flywheel of the South African economy and the fact that the youth are really the future of this country, it occurred to me that we could actually look at Brian and consider employing him.
