Shoprite Checkers guarantees more comfort packs in the bag for Matla a Bana

Neil Schreuder, Marketing Director of Shoprite Checkers, has responded to the call by CapeTalk's Kieno Kammies for companies to continuously support Matla A Bana and their work with creating comfort packs for child and sexual abuse survivors.

Following the successful effort by Taylor Blinds and CapeTalk in creating comfort packs in light of National Child Protection Week (31 May - 7 June 2015), Shoprite Checkers pledged their support to fill another 800 Matla A Bana comfort packs and are well on their way.

Neil Schreuder, and staff display some of the already completed packs.

Schreuder says that the retail company aims to fill the comfort packs with their products to the value of R120 000.

I’m going to round up a team at our head office and we’re going to pack 800 packs for girls aged 9 to 12 that have been victims of abuse.
