#SADGT: ‘I’m just a symbol of doing good’ - Sizwe Mkhwanazi, philanthropist

In this segment of South Africans Doing Great Things, we chat to philanthropist, Sizwe Mkhwanazi, about his journey to success, and growing up in a supportive community.

Mkhwanazi says that he was born and bred on a farm in a supportive community.

I’ve committed myself to youth development, and the idea of success for kids who grew up with single mothers he adds.

I’m just a symbol of doing good no matter where I’ve come from

Mkhwanazi says that he is the product of a single mother, and adds that it wasn’t hard growing up without a father.

My community embraced the thought of raising a child because it was seen as the villages enterprise says Mkhwanazi.

I think that if there wasn’t that kind of a community, it would have been harder in terms of providing.

Sizwe Mkhwanazi, philanthropist

Mkhwanazi adds that there were many people in the community who offered to support for his family and mother.
