Zim really needs peace, stability and security - Lindiwe Zulu

Minister Lindiwe Zulu who was once the envoy to Zimbabwe talks to Bongani Bingwa about Monday's elections in that country.

She says the peaceful poll was what needs to happen at all times.

This entire region really needs peace, stability and security.

Minister Lindiwe Zulu

She says it is her fourth day spent there and she can see the changes taking place. But she does not believe the preparation for elections was easy, but the electoral commission has done an excellent job. The challenge in the region is ensuring there are strong institutions that can serve the people, she says.

She acknowledges that the ANC government is there at the invitation of Zanu PF

It is a party that has been with us with the liberation struggle and been with us all along.

Minister Lindiwe Zulu

But at the end of the day it will be the choice of the Zimbabwean people and the ANC will support that choice, she adds.
