Technical Editor at CAR Magazine Nicol Louw visited Australia recently to test drive the new Ford Ranger Raptor.
He joined Azania Mosaka to share his thoughts on the new bakkie, explain unsprung mass and answer listener's car-related conundrums.

Louw attempted to decode some motoring lingo - explaining to listeners about 'unsprung mass'.
That is the mass that relates to the vehicle components that are not supported by the sprig and hamper system, so to be simple that is your wheels, your breaks and some of your suspension components in contact with the road surface...— Nicol Louw, Technical Editor at CAR Magazine
If those components are light, then you have better control over the contact patch between the tire and the road surface. If it is heavy, if you modify your car and put much bigger wheels and tires on it, you might influence the handling dramatically....— Nicol Louw, Technical Editor at CAR Magazine
