[LISTEN] Actress Mampho Brescia in conversation with Azania

South African actress Mampho Brescia has become the first ever Brand Japan Ambassador.

Popularly known as Iris from Isibaya and for her role as Zanele on Jacob's Cross, Brescia has carved a formidable career over the years.

Having studied in Japan and immersed herself in the culture, she will be helping bridge the gap in relations between the two countries.

They would like to further their interests in terms of poverty alleviation, social justice, education and for South Africans to sort of enrich themselves and immerse themselves in getting to know Japanese culture.

Speaking on acting career and playing the role of Iris, Brescia describes how all her inhibitions fall away.

That is what I love about her, she has no limits, no boundaries. She is not one dimensional. It gives me a lot to sort of play off.
