'I am proud to be part of a growing music culture in this country'

Musician and winner of Dancing with the Stars SA Connell Cruise is set to deliver an artistic fusion and entertain crowds at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia for a ‘One Night Only’ performance on 9 August.

The show will include hits from his SAMA nominated album “Barely Breathing” as well as live performances by Dancing With the Stars South Africa professional dancers.

He joined Azania on this week's #702Unplugged. He shares his thoughts on the local music industry and more.

I do think that there was a time in music in South Africa, where it was clearly different - the sound quality, the production quality of a song...

I am proud to be part of a growing music industry and culture in this country where often times you can't tell the difference. It is great to be on equal standing with everyone around the world. The way the industry works nowadays, the way music is put out there for people to listen to. It gives everyone a shot to make it.
