The Minibus Taxi Industry Task Team (MTITT) says the Western Cape government and the SA National Taxi Council (Santaco) must come to the table to help resolve taxi leadership issues in the province.
MTITT spokesperson, Besuthu Ndungane, says taxi operators want a pre-elective conference prior to the appointment of new leadership within the local industry.
Ndungane insists that Cape taxi operators are not on strike. Instead he says they have withdrawn their services.
