Meet 'The Ultimate Braai Master' (and urban farmer) Justin Bonello
Every week The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviews a famous person about her or his attitude to money (hopes and fears, successes and failures, etc.) as part of his weekly “Make Money Mondays, Personal Edition” feature.
This week Ray White (in for Whitfield) interviewed cook, filmmaker and urban farmer Justin Bonello.
Bonello is probably most well-known for his cooking and travel show “Cooked” and for hosting “The Ultimate Braai Master”.
Born in Durban raised in Cape Town, Bonello started cooking when he was seven, thanks to his late grandmother Liz.
He was introduced to the movie industry at 14 by his mother, a producer.
Bonello is a passionate urban farmer.
His non-profit organisation “Neighbourhood Farm” is an urban food garden project involving 17 schools – rich and poor - that operates in Cape Town’s Deep South.
Listen to the interview in the audio below (and/or scroll down for quotes from it).
