Bemawu: Board members should not be paid at the SABC

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will be retrenching staff as a cost-cutting measure.

The broadcaster recorded yet another staggering loss of R622 milllion in the financial year ended March.

Speaking to Joanne Joseph, Bemawu president says the SABC has not yet indicated how many people it will be retrenching.

We believe there are other places where the SABC can cut and save money.
