South African songstress and activist Simphiwe Dana says heritage plays an integral role in most of her music.
Dana is an artist who employs a true cultural and African identity in her art form.
The Xhosa lyricist was reflecting on her recent performance, which focused on freedom songs, to mark Heritage Day.
She also spoke about how her music s received when she performs abroad, and her latest projects.
