Help Groote Schuur Hospital get 84 new beds

Groote Schuur hospital is in need of an additional 84 beds.

Just one bed accompanied by a monitor costs R105 000. So to raise funds for the beds, the team at Groote Schuur Hospital have created an appeal campaign called Heroes of Groote Schuur Hospital.

The campaign was established to rebuild a positive image of the state institutions by telling the stories of individuals who embody the hospital’s spirit of excellence.

This is according to Doctor Zameer Brey chairman of the Groote Schuur Hospital board.

We wanted to reconnect the public with the great work that our staff do at Groote Schuur, which is much more than what the doctors and nurses do.

This initiative is modelled around the Human of New York campaign.
