[LISTEN] 7 tips to successfully lead a group

In the wellness feature, coach, writer and psychologist Yasmeen Engelbrecht chats about how people regress when they're in a group.

Engelbrecht says that at some point in time, we're all going to lead a group.

If you're leading a group, the first thing to remember is that we all regress in groups.

Yasmeen Engelbrecht, coach, writer and psychologist

Engelbrecht says that in a group setting, we all go back to the first group we knew - our families.

She says that if you're leading a group and everybody has regressed, that makes you mommy or daddy.

It's weird to watch grown men and women ask if they can go to the bathroom adds Engelbrecht.

She says that as a leader, it could be hilarious to consider what role you played in your family.

You also watch little things like the only child coming out, demanding attention in the group. Or you will watch the child who feels like they don't get enough attention.
