Saunas and steam rooms back on offer at Virgin Active

Virgin Active reintroduced their saunas and steam rooms to their gyms after they were closed in May of 2017 due to stringent water restrictions in Cape Town.

Wesley Noble, Head of Changing Business for Good at Virgin Active says they have done a good job in reducing their water consumption in the past year and they are confident that they will be able to keep it that way.

He says although the water restrictions have been relaxed from level 6 to level 5, they are still required to curb their consumption at 40%.

We are very confident that we can still do that, however, it does come with a caveat.

It is also in our member's hands to continue to save water and we ask our members to take stock of our showers.

Noble says water consumption will be monitored on a daily basis to ensure that clubs stick to water restrictions targets.
