'If you talk about livid, that is how I feel' says caller over Bok defeat

The Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus has come under fire for his late substitutions, which coincided with the All Blacks staging a comeback to snatch the win in the dying moments of the game.

The Springboks missed out on a famous double win over New Zealand losing 32-30 in a Rugby Championship clash at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday.

Callers of The Eusebius Mckaiser Show were heartbroken by the defeat.

Zayne a caller says the loss was heartbreaking as it was the Springboks game to lose.

It was heartbreaking for me. I could see the disappointment in the players especially but the one big positive is that it seems like the Springboks are becoming a real threat to the number one team that has been there for the last five to six years.

Zayne, caller

Anna a caller, says she is livid about the Springbok's loss.

I am 75-years-old and I have been watching since I was 16-years -old, we could have made history on Saturday by beating the All Blacks twice in a row, if you talk about livid, that is how I feel.

Anna, caller

Owen also called in and says it was a bad decision to substitute players so soon before the end of the game.

I have seen in quite a view matches that De Klerk actually manages the play of the whole team and he is there, he makes decisions to implement whatever he has decided. And I just question the wisdom or whatever it was that made them take him off the field.

Owen, caller

The decision to take him off, I walked out of the room and I knew we were going to lose by two points.
