Over a thousand people left homeless by shack fire in Capricorn Park

Another township has been ravaged by fire in Cape Town.

Cape Town's Disaster Risk Management Centre is assessing how many people have been affected by the latest devastating informal settlement fire to hit the city.

John Maytham spoke to Eyewitness News reporter Lauren Isaacs about the fire in Capricorn Park.

A fire started in a woman's shack, the cause of the fire is not yet known.
