6.2 million South Africans are actively looking for a job but can’t find one
South Africa's unemployment rate rose to 27.5% in the third quarter of 2018 from 27.2% in the second quarter, Statistics South Africa said on Tuesday.
There were 6.2 million jobless people in Q3/2018; about 100 000 more than in Q2/2018.
The unemployment rate is 37.3% when including people who have stopped actively looking for work.
