The Kamers/Makers fair in Stellenbosch will be launching an internship programme called the Embryonix project. The project offers school kids anything from a day to a few weeks with the Maker who fits their talent/passion/interest to ‘look ’n learn’ about a future career.
Jeremy Doveton-Helps, Brand Strategist at KAMERS says the project is all about giving a realistic chance to do something better for children in gang-infested communities.
He says if a young person wants to be a jewellery designer, they will be an opportunity to meet about seven other jewellery designers who will show them the craft.
Children can apply by sending pictures, poems, videos, WhatsApp voice notes that says 'this is my passion and this is why I would like to do this'.— Jeremy Doveton-Helps, Brand Strategist at KAMERS
