From stay-at-home mom to award winning jeweler, Sharon Cole tells her story

After being a stay-at-home mom and wife for 13 years, Sharon Cole, co-owner of Cole Jewellery, found herself single and in need of an income.

She had always loved being creative and started working on some of the things she put aside for a while.

At 54 she decided to study to be a jewellery maker.

The move paid off and now she's taking the jewellery world by storm.

On Thursday she won Best Stand at the Kamers/Makers Awards.

I dived in and didn't think twice and it was the most liberating experience of my life.
