[UPDATE] HHP laid to rest

MAHIKENG - Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known as HHP, has now been laid to rest at the Matloung Cemetry in Mahikeng, North West.

The hip-hop sensation’s passing sent shockwaves across the country when he died suddenly just over a week ago.

While the cause of his death still unknown, it’s since emerged that he had a drug problem and struggled with depression.

Several speakers described Jabba as a hero during the funeral service at the Mmabatho Convention Centre in Mahikeng earlier on Saturday.

North West MEC for Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs. Ontlametse Mochware says the rapper leaves a legacy that Mahikeng will continue to uphold.

“The one thing we must take from the loss of Jabulani Tsambo is that success can be very, very lonely at times. Achievement brings with it the expectations of even greater achievements.”

Mourners earlier made their way to the cemetery in the North West where the music icon has been laid to rest.
