Ramaphosa Q&A session
The DA and the EFF hurled insults at each other across the House, before a physical fight broke out between EFF and Agang MPs.

President Cyril Ramaphosa's question and answer session in the National Assembly on Tuesday was overshadowed by a physical altercation involving some Members of Parliament (MPs).

The DA and the EFF began hurling insults at each other across the House, before a physical altercation broke out between EFF and Agang MPs, reports EWN's Gaye Davis.

DA's chief whip John Steenhuisen referred to EFF MPs as "VBS looters" and EFF leader Julius Malema in turn called Steenhuisen a "white boy".

The Parliamentary sitting was suspended for five minutes in an effort to restore order.

Agang's Andries Tlouamma and EFF's Nazier Paulsen were asked to leave.

Everything just went pear-shaped in the House.
