Most corrupt police officials in SA are in their 50s - Paul O'Sullivan
Speaking to Xolani Gwala last week Thursday, the now former Gauteng Provincial Police Commissioner Deliwe de Lange warned her successor to resist temptation.
On Wednesday, De Lange was granted bail after making her first court appearance accused of being part of an alleged fraud scheme surrounding an 84 million rand tender involving government vehicles.
De Lange appeared alongside Lieutenant-General Ramahlapi Mokwena (National Divisional Commissioner in charge of Supply Chain Management), Brigadier James Ramajalum who is stationed in Mokwena’s office, Gauteng Deputy Police Commissioner Brigadier Nombhuruza Napo.
They face charges of corruption, fraud, forgery and uttering and De Lange denies these charges.
Speaking to Bongani Bingwa, forensic investigator Paul O'Sullivan says, unfortunately, it seems the profile of the most corrupt police officials in South Africa today is those in their 50s.
