De Lille lays charges against four DA members over fake AG report

Former Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille has laid a criminal complaint against four DA members for alleged fraud.

De Lille wants Mike Waters, Henk Hugo, Shehana Kajee and Bronwynn Engelbrecht investigated for fraud, defamation of character and crimen injuria.

This comes months after the DA members shared a social media post of an alleged fake Auditor-General report, reports EWN's Monique Mortlock.

The post claimed that De Lille breached the Municipal Finance Management Act over the management of revenue from the MyCiTi bus services.

In her statement, De Lille claims that these are not the first unbecoming statements or actions taken by the party members.

She accuses Waters of sharing problematic posts from a controversial Facebook group, "Blanke Bemagtigings Beweging".
