[LISTEN] Cervical cancer is the only cancer that is caused by sex - Dr Eve

According to the National Cervical Cancer Coalition, HPV causes 99.9% cervical cancer in women.

HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection, and it causes genital warts.

Speaking to Eusebius McKaiser on the Talking Sex feature, clinical sexologist and couples sex therapist Dr Eve warns that all of us are at risk of getting HPV.

Cervical cancer is the only cancer that is caused by sexuality. It is preventable. All we've got to do is stop having sex, stop having unprotected sex and be aware of the risks that are involved.

One in four women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer and 70% of them will die. The reason they will die is because of ignorance and that they don't know about early screening and HPV.
