Cape Town businesses rally behind Blikkiesdorp children on Mother City tour

Children from Blikkiesdorp had the time of their lives on Sunday following a collaboration between CapeTalk and Cape Town businesses who made it their mission to take these children on a tour of the Mother City.

Many businesses got involved to make this day possible - Golden Arrow Bus Services, City Sightseeing Cape Town, Clicks, Peninsular Beverages, Two Oceans Aquarium, Kirstenbosch Gardens.

Errol van Byl, head coach of Blikkiesdorp United Football Club says the children were very happy as some of them have never been to the V&A Waterfront.

That was a blessed opportunity to get out of Blikkiesdorp just to see the rest of town.

It was very important to see the kids happy and they truly appreciate and they said thank you very much.

Van Byl says these children are exposed to drugs and gangsterism daily and this was an opportunity for them to see that there is more to life than drugs.
