'We feel their pain' - UWC offers support to students following student deaths

Staff and students at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) are this week having to come to terms with the tragic deaths of three students.

Two second-year law students committed suicide within days of each other - some reports claim the pair were in a relationship - and a third student was shot and killed at the weekend.

Our students lives really matter to us - we feel their pain.

Africa says there is a range of support structures in place at the university - including counselling and student support services.

The university says none of the incidents happened on campus and memorials will be held for the deceased students.
