The cash-strapped SABC is facing more problems with speculations of at least three board members reportedly stepping down amid allegations of political pressure.

There are unconfirmed rumours that board members stepped down following a clash with minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams over planned retrenchments.

National coordinator at Save Our SABC Coalition, Duduetsang Makuse says what is currently happening at the SABC is absolute chaos.

No interference by the minister is ever warranted, especially in the operational affairs of the SABC.

I think the big mistake here is that the minister comes into the SABC and undermines the leadership by not involving them in conversations she wanted to have with the SABC and stakeholders. That in itself blew up the whole thing.
