[LISTEN] Constitution Hill celebrates Madiba with interactive exhibition

5 December is the anniversary of the late former president, Nelson Mandela's death.

Constitution Hill has launched an experiential permanent exhibition revealing the intricate history hidden behind the walls of the Old Fort to commemorate this.

CEO of Constitution Hill, Dawn Robertson say it is meant to be a self-guiding exhibition.

It is an exhibition where we use a lot of new digital technology, we use a lot of old exhibition techniques as well to do clever things. It is very interactive. It has an explorer game, it is really meant to be a self-guided exhibition.

It includes holograms where you can actually speak to prisoners who were held here and it integrates with the Mandela cell where Madiba was held when he was incarcerated here all those years ago.
