Eskom's load shedding impacts negatively on N3 toll plaza operations

Holidaymakers have already started flooding SA's roads going to their getaways for the festive season.

EWN reporter Thando Kubheka says during the N3 Toll Concession it was revealed how load shedding is affecting operations of toll gates along that route.

She says these toll plazas are not exempt from the power cuts which causes the plazas to revert to manual mode which is much slower and frustrates motorists.

But they do say they have contingency plans like generators to kick in when load shedding happens.

Kubheka says some of the issues addressed at the update meeting involved what is going on behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of operations on the N3.
