With the 107th anniversary of the African National Congress (ANC)'s anniversary celebrations taking place in KwaZulu Natal, author, and News24 columnist, Max du Preez says the bromance witnessed between Cyril Ramaphosa and Jacob Zuma was bizarre.
It sickened me to see the hero worship of Jacob Zuma. This bromance has been compelling and the ANC in KZN seem to be in one piece, and that is crucial for the election.— Max du Preez, Author and Columist at News24
Du Preez says Zuma's recent entry into social media is proving that the former president is not about to go anywhere politically, even with his legal woes.
He adds that maybe the president is cosying up to the former president to ensure that he gets the ANC vote as close to 60% or over as possible. He says the president could be choosing to cosy up and leave the legal matters to the courts.
