A childhood dream has finally materialised when NyamaKopa, a Johannesburg-based game studio released a groundbreaking game called Semblance.
This is a childhood dream of Cukia Kimani who after completing his computer science degree at Wits decided to pursue his dream of developing video games.
Semblance is the first African developed game to ever be released on a Nintendo platform.
It was unveiled on July 2018 on PC and Nintendo Switch.

Semblance is what we calling a playdough platformer, where you get to shape hand mould the platforms to solve puzzles.— Cukia Kimani, game developer
We would like to think that we give the player an opportunity to with the game designer that designed these levels.— Cukia Kimani, game developer
Kimani says he is looking at employing more people to join him in creating the fun games.
