Inspirational game developer opens up about first African game on Nintendo

A childhood dream has finally materialised when NyamaKopa, a Johannesburg-based game studio released a groundbreaking game called Semblance.

This is a childhood dream of Cukia Kimani who after completing his computer science degree at Wits decided to pursue his dream of developing video games.

Semblance is the first African developed game to ever be released on a Nintendo platform.

It was unveiled on July 2018 on PC and Nintendo Switch.

It was a fear of mine to work in a bank and start making ATM software so I started making video games and hoped for the best.
